Horror Winds 03:51
Horror Winds © 2022 Jack Curtis Dubowsky / De Stijl Music (BMI) I’m just kind of relaxing on my porch, enjoying my pension, living in the woods. I like the clean mountain breeze. The city air became too smoggy to breathe: Local factories buying carbon credits to continue spouting filth. No matter what law passed, it devolved into a financial scheme, moving chips around the board, while the air got worse and worse. I’m very concerned about the environment. Especially the air. I have a very good sense of smell. I don’t know why, but today, something doesn’t smell right. Even up here in the mountains. What is that smell? It's like sulfur and ash and chemicals, ammonia, Acrid things I cannot identify. No, no, it's some kind of fire. But not a wood fire. I look on Twitter. I check the radio. Nothing. Frustrated, I call the fire department. Nothing. There is no fire. But I smell it, stronger and stronger. Until I recognize that smell. I know that smell. This is the burn pit I exposed all those men to. We burned 147 tons of toxic waste a day. Thousands of men reported sick. I just made referrals and put them back to work. What was I supposed to do. We had to keep the pits burning. Sure, I was in command, but those were orders from above. But the burn pit cannot be here in the mountains. The burn pit is all in my mind. But I smell it. I hope it goes away. I don’t want to be haunted by this smell.
